Analytical grade (P.A.) hydrochloric acid is a chemical widely used across many industrial sectors throughout Brazil.

It can be used for metal pickling, surface treatment, ion exchange resin regeneration, as a laboratory reagent, in ore flotation and processing, and for many other purposes.

In its commercial form, it is a colorless liquid with a pungent odor that gives off acid fumes when it comes into direct contact with moist air.

For this reason, it is classified as a highly corrosive product that causes burns on direct contact with human skin.

Handling it is strictly prohibited without the necessary PPE, such as gloves, safety goggles, work clothing, a PVC apron, rubber boots and an acid gas respirator, because the product is lethal if inhaled or swallowed. In addition, its reaction with metals can release flammable gases.
